Inspired by their vast experience, Nancy and her team are pleased to share precious hints for bedding care and child’s bedroom decoration.
Fabric Care

All Bouton Jaune’s bedding elements are removable for easy cleaning. While this characteristic greatly simplifies their care, some precautions must be taken in order to preserve the look of the fabric:
- Use delicate cycle and mild detergent. To preserve colours, do not chlorinate.
- Turn the piece inside out before washing.
- Dry at low temperature.
- Ironing is recommended to bring back the original softness of the fabric.
Crib Bumper Pad “How To”
- Remove the three pads from the cover. Each bumper pad is fitted with zipper to perform this task with ease before washing.
- Turn the cover inside out before washing.
- Ironing is recommended to bring back the original softness of the fabric.
- Make sure you put back the longest pad in the center, between the two short ones.
Thinking about Colours
You should choose the baby’s bedding before painting the bedroom’s walls. The wide range of colours offered by paint companies will easily allow you to match up the walls and the bedding set. Once the fabric is chosen, it is easier to complete your layout by painting walls and selected accessories in appropriate tones.
Baby’s Bedding 101
Following are the various elements that form a crib bedding set:
Crib Skirt
The skirt is used mainly to hide the metal frame that supports the mattress. Usually, this functional structure does not match the colour scheme of the crib. Also, the skirt lets you use the space under the crib as additional storage.
Crib bumper pad
The bumper pad is placed inside the crib to cover the slats. It is available in half or full size, the latter covers all sides of the crib.
How to install the bumper pad?

Fitted Sheets
With its wide range of fitted sheets made out of cotton, jersey, bamboo or velvet terrycloth, Bouton Jaune is assuring baby’s comfort in all seasons. Make sure that the fitted sheet matches the bedding set since it will be visible between the bumper pad and the crib skirt.
Quilted Pads
Bouton Jaune offers two types of quilted pads, one with plastic middle layer, and one made of velvet terrycloth, without plastic middle layer. Using a quilted pad in the crib prevents repeated laundry of sheets.
Offered in two sizes, and in colours matching the bedding, our quilted pads can also be used as a setting for diaper change or in the stroller.
Duvet and Pillows
Our duvets and pillows are stuffed with hypoallergenic synthetic fibres and are machine washable, using delicate cycle. You can machine dry them to bring back their fluffiness.
Duvet slipcover
The slipcover is the envelope in which the duvet is laid. All Bouton Jaune’s slipcovers are fitted with zippers and reversible, letting you make little changes in the dressing of your baby’s bed.
